Perhaps you have seen them before? The giants of the Jabbeke Giant Group, which includes the 3 "Sluise" town giants? They regularly take part in parades in the Zwin region.
The 3 "biggest" residents of Sluis are Jantje van Sluis, Johan Hendrik van Dale and Philip the Good.
A town giant is a large decorated puppet representing a locally well-known figure. In 2010, Jantje van Sluis was presented to the public, making him the first town giant in Zeeland. In 2014, Jantje was joined by J.H. van Dale and in 2018 by Philip the Good.
