Sluis, a perfect place for beautiful cycling routes!

Sluis is part of the cycling route network. Around Sluis you cycle over paved polder roads and dikes. Enjoy panoramic views, nature, fortified towns, the city walls or the coast — often within less than 10 km.

With the cycle junction network you can plot your own route. Tips you shouldn't miss:

• Around the city walls and canals of Sluis there is a beautiful cycle path. A loop around Sluis is approximately 5 km. You pass, among other things, the windmill De Brak, old city gates and the deer at the football field.
• Combine the fortified towns of Sluis and Retranchement with a bit of cycling through the dunes of Cadzand.
• From Sluis to Aardenburg, the oldest town in Zeeland, known for the Roman castellum and excavations.

Bicycle rental and guarded bicycle parking

(Electric) bicycles can be rented at Rijwielhandel ’t Rinkeltje, Sint Annastraat 23. They also offer guarded bicycle parking. Tuesday is closing day (except in July and August). Website:

You can charge batteries of electric bicycles at Rijwielhandel ’t Rinkeltje (St. Annastraat 23). Lockers are also available there.

Accu’s van elektrische fietsen kun je opladen bij Rijwielhandel ’t Rinkeltje (St. Annastraat 23). Lockers zijn daar eveneens beschikbaar.
