Brasserie and tea room
A shopping afternoon of course includes the conviviality of a terrace or a good conversation in the warmth of a beautiful interior. We warmly welcome you to our contemporary brasserie and introduce you to creative suggestions prepared by the chef. Using fresh, high-quality products, we serve you flavourful dishes at an affordable price. In the afternoon, you can enjoy a light lunch or delicious brasserie dishes such as artisanal shrimp croquettes, pastas, salads, mussels, ...

Finally, you are of course also welcome for an Illy coffee with miller's pancakes, fresh heart-shaped waffles, poffertjes, or our homemade apple pie and sweet apple dumplings or ice cream coupes. For the beer lovers, there is a refreshing regional beer, something the Molen van Sluis offers in a very extensive range!

History & windmill tour of Molen de Brak
In the Middle Ages, Sluis had around ten mills, of which only three remained by 1920. The only remaining mill of Sluis on 't Meul'ende (Moleneind) is the mill "de Brak". This wind grain mill was named "De Brak" after a French hunting dog breed (Braque) that points its nose into the wind while hunting.

The mill was built in 1739 and was the first stone mill in the region. The mill is a so-called "top-turning windmill with a stage". The flour ground by the mill is used in our brasserie to prepare our artisanal miller's pancakes. You can also buy our flour at the mill, including pancake flour so you can get started at home.
To this day, the mill is still active and open to the public.

Enthusiasts and the curious can still visit the mill. The panoramic view over Sluis and its surroundings from the top stage is not to be missed!

Zeeuwse Appelaere and Perelaere (unsweetened and unfiltered pure juice straight from the Zeeuws-Vlaamse orchard.

In another corner, you can find selected gift and decoration items. A Scandinavian touch combined with unique, lived-in items. Brands such as, among others, Tine K Home, Muubs, AAI made with Love, HK Living, …

Fleur Essence-of-Style
The original concept store Fleur "Essence of Style" with luxury accessories is located in the old oak outbuilding of the historic mill. The contrast in the interior gives you butterflies in your stomach and a feeling of nostalgia when you walk out the door.

Exclusive contemporary jewellery, leather handbags from Italian ateliers, soft cashmere basics. Also special costume jewellery from designers appreciated by our European Royals, as well as hats (among others by royal warrant holder F.Delvigne)

Flower shop: Bloem en Zo
Flower shop "Bloem en Zo" is located on Nieuwstraat, at the foot of the Molen van Sluis. The shop is open daily from 10 am. Bloem En Zo offers you everything in the field of flowers, plants and gift items.
