In the evenings, the 'toddler' skating rink transforms into 2 curling rinks and a curling competition takes place. Sponsors of the skating rink compete in this competition for the honour of "Sluis on Ice" 2025-2026

What is curling?
Curling is an ice sport, with the game concept of bowling and pétanque. Teams slide a stone across the ice, trying to get as close as possible
to the dot / circle. A fun activity for non-skaters!

A few years ago, the competition started more as a fun activity for the sponsors of the skating rink. But it soon became clear that the teams were very fanatical and seriously competed for the win. Since then, the curling competition has been a regular event at the ice rink in Sluis.

Games are played almost daily in the evenings from 7 pm onwards. The exciting final will be played on Friday 2 January 2026. Not only is honour at stake then, but also the grand prize and the (challenge) trophy.

Spectators are more than welcome to cheer on the teams.
